Deiritna Group

The importance of Deiritna Group:

  1. To strengthen the bounds between our children, the land and the Palestinian history.

  2. To complete the psychological, educational and social role with the role of the institutes, family and society.

  3. Providing a specialized staff for taking care of childhood by the Happy Childhood Club.

  4. The social need for non-curricular activities which emphasizes working together.

  5. Offering some job opportunities.

 

Aims:

  1. Emphasizing the Palestinian identity by stressed the relationship between heritage and reality.

  2. Preserving the heritage and traditions which are vanishing slowly.

  3. Raising an educated healthy generation that is aware of the importance of history and heritage, and is able to show the real face of the Palestinian traditions.

  4. Reflecting history and heritage through paintings.

  5. Over coming the language barriers and encouraging communication.

  6. Helping children to use their free time in useful joyful activities.

  7. Discovering talents and encouraging them through direct interaction with the society and life.

  8. Improving mental and physical skills.

  9. Preparing a artistic folkloric band.

  10. Helping children to get used to being accurate and responsible.

 

The group's programs and activities:

  • Courses in popular and folkloric music.

  • Introducing children to various types of popular dancing.

  • Offering training on short drama scenes that talk about Palestinian history.

  • Organizing seminars and workshops about the Palestinian heritage and its relationship with the Arabic and international heritage as a whole.

 

The group is made up of 24 members who are between 9-12 years old. The administrative and training staff is made of 7 members who are: violin player, keyboard player, rhythm player, lute player, main singer with the choir, special trainer for dancing, make up responsible and popular poet.

 

 

The most important participations for the group:

  • Folkloric show in the Arabic Orthodox Hall in al-Ram March 24th, 2006

  • Celebrating Woman's Day and Labor's Day in Balata Youth Center May 1st, 2006.

  • Participating in Heritage Festival in Nablus.

  • Musical (singing) show in the theatre of Opera Leil, France in the Music Day June 21st, 2006.

  • Participating in presenting a show for awarding the best students in Balata Camp July, 7th 2006.

 

Future projects:

  1. Increasing and improving the members of its members.

  2. Dancing scenes that talk about Palestine and the history.

  3. Dancing artistic scenes that gather all cultures of the northern part of the Arab world.

  4.  The group is working hard for gathering information about Palestinian heritage and wishes to establish a big specialized library.
